Jay Race – June 20, 2015
A great way to get involved in the surf community here in Santa Cruz is to participate in the Surftech Jay Moriarity Memorial Paddleboard Race. This annual event is happening this Saturday, June 20th 2015! This is a must see Santa Cruz Paddle Boarding event and starts right here at Capitola Beach. All of the proceeds go to the Junior Lifeguard Beach programs around the area to help purchase new equipment and support scholarships.
There are a few ways you can participate and there is still space available!
- 12 Mile Course: Capitola Beach to Santa Cruz Harbor
- 2 Mile Course: Around bouys, right off the beach in Capitola (a great beginner option!)
- Waterman Challenge: Swim, Paddle, SUP (for those looking for a challenge)
- Kids Race: FREE for groms 12 and under
